Dr. Ping obtained his B.S. degree at Zhejiang University of Technology in June 2007, and
completed his Ph.D. with Prof. Yibin Ying and Prof. Jian Wu at Zhejiang University in June 2012. He
joined Prof. Yibin Ying’s group at Zhejiang University as a research fellow in July 2012. Then he moved
to Prof. Terry WJ Steele’s group at Nanyang Technological University as a visiting scholar from August
2013 to August 2014. After that, he worked in Prof. Hua Zhang’s group as a visiting scholar from
September 2014 to December 2015. On January 2016, he joined the College of Biosystems Engineering
and Food Science in Zhejiang University as a ZJU-100 Young Professor through “Hundred Talents
Program”. His research interests focus on rapid detection techniques for food safety and quality,
including sensors/biosensors, electroanalysis, fluorescence, DNA, and nanotechnology. Until now, he
has published 5+ patents and 50+ papers (such as Nat. Commun., Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater.,
Nano Energy, Small, Trends Anal. Chem., Nanoscale, Anal. Chem., Biosens. Bioelectron., Food Chem.,
J. Agric. Food Chem., J. Mater. Chem. B, Electrochem. Commun., Electrochim. Acta, and so on) with
total citations (non-self) of over 2100 and H-index of 24. In 2015, he was awarded as “Excellent
Reviewers” by Biosensors & Bioelectronics journal from Elsevier B.V. Publishing Company. Now, he
served as an Associate Editor in Jounral of Food Process Engineering (a Weily Journal).
