Medicinal plants have the ability to synthesize a wide variety of chemical compounds that are used to perform important biological functions, and to defend against attack from predators such as insects, fungi and herbivorous mammals. Herbs are any plants used for flavoring, food, medicine, or perfume. Culinary use typically distinguishes herbs as referring to the leafy green parts of a plant either fresh or dried, from a spice, a product from another part of the plant usually dried, including seeds, berries, bark, roots and fruits. Herbs and spices were used as fragrant, flavor, delicious, aromatic medicinal plants. It can be smelt, eat, bath, and heal with them. Another important use of herbs and spices is cancer fighting.
